Dr Susan Alexander is the current President of the Independent Doctors Federation and a specialist shoulder surgeon with over 20 years’ experience treating conditions including fractures, dislocations, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tears and arthritis. She prioritises non-surgical treatment where possible and provides personalised, patient-centred care, ensuring patients understand their options throughout treatment. Trained in London, she completed advanced shoulder fellowships in Edinburgh and at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. Dr Alexander holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and an MSc in Orthopaedic Biomechanics. She is also the Founder of The Funky Professor, a popular online anatomy education platform.
