We are delighted to welcome you to our lunch webinar with Smart TMS.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) has rapidly become one of the most effective, evidence-based interventions for depressive disorders, particularly for individuals who have not responded or experienced side effects to conventional treatments . This webinar offers a concise, clinically focused introduction to TMS, explaining how it works, why it is effective, and where it fits within modern psychiatric practice.

The session will explore the role of TMS in major depressive disorder, bipolar depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive–compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, dementia, and other emerging indications. Drawing on current clinical trials, remission and response data, and real-world outcomes, the talk will translate research into practical clinical insight.

Attendees will gain a clear understanding of TMS mechanisms of action, treatment protocols, patient selection, and key considerations for safe and effective implementation. Designed for mental health professionals, this session aims to demystify TMS and equip clinicians with the confidence to identify appropriate patients, discuss TMS clearly with patients, and consider its integration into everyday clinical care.

By then end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the core mechanisms, evidence base, and treatment protocols underpinning TMS in depressive and related disorders.
  • Identify appropriate patient groups and clinical scenarios in which TMS should be considered.
  • Communicate the benefits, risks, and practical aspects of TMS confidently and clearly to patients and colleagues
