IDF presents at the BMA Private Practice Conference 2021

Dr Alexandra Harkins, Responsible Officer of the Independent Doctors Federation delivered a session at the BMA Private Practice Conference on Revalidation and Appraisals in the Independent Sector. Alex described the Independent Doctors Federation, explained the appraisal and revalidation processes at the IDF and shared the evaluation of Medical Appraisal 2020 at the IDF. A summary of her presentation will be included in the 2022 IDF journal.  

Dr Shaima Villait, IDF GP Committee Chair and Deputy Chair and Primary Care Lead, BMA Private practice committee also chaired a session on setting up as a private GP. She gave a summary of the step by step requirements for setting up in Private GP practice including the support services provided by the IDF and BMA PPC in the set up and benefit of having both memberships.
