We are delighted to welcome you to our lunch webinar with Dr Alexandra Garcia-Rosales who will be presenting on ADHD in Children and Young People: Assessment, Treatment, and Common Clinical Scenarios.
ADHD is a common neurodevelopmental disorder in children and young people and can sit alongside additional challenges, including sleep difficulties, autism spectrum conditions, anxiety or mood symptoms, and differences in presentation in girls compared to boys. These factors need to be taken into account during assessment, formulation, and treatment planning.
This webinar provides a review of ADHD assessment and treatment in line with NICE guidance, followed by vignette-based discussion of common clinical scenarios that require adaptation on the part of clinicians working within a wider professional network. The session focuses on working effectively with children and young people, their families, and relevant professionals, with an emphasis on clear formulation, realistic expectation-setting, and coordinated care.
Case discussions will cover ADHD with sleep difficulties, ADHD and autism spectrum conditions, ADHD with anxiety or mood symptoms, and ADHD in girls.
