Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr Obuaya is a Consultant Psychiatrist at CNWL Foundation Trust and in private practice in London. He commonly sees patient with Mood & Anxiety Disorders, ADHD, trauma-related mental health problems and perinatal disorders.

Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician
Nick is a Consultant Gynaecologist with over 25 years’ experience.
He trained at St Mary’s Hospital Medical School and held academic posts at Cambridge University and Imperial College. A pioneer in research, he was the first UK clinical scientist to demonstrate inducible nitric oxide synthase in the placenta and has published 50 scientific papers. His work has focused on hypertension in pregnancy and pre-eclampsia. He has been in private practice for over 25 years, consulting in London and Manchester, with a clinical interest in pelvic and perineal pain. He currently chairs the IDrF medico-legal committee.

Consultant Psychiatrist
Professor Michael Craig is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Professor of Psychiatry at King's College London, working within the National Services Directorate at the Maudsley Hospital.
He holds dual training in psychiatry and in obstetrics and gynaecology, which underpins a longstanding interest in women's mental health and brain development across the reproductive life course. For the past 20 years he has led National Services for neurodevelopmental and reproductive mental health across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Alongside this clinical leadership he has directed national and international research programmes in these fields, with a particular focus on ADHD and autism spectrum disorders. He also founded The Craig Clinic, providing specialist independent psychiatric care.
An experienced clinician, educator and speaker, he combines this work with a wider interest in the mindset and qualities that drive successful entrepreneurs, which forms the focus of his talk at this event.

Consultant in Reproductive Medicine & Gynaecology
Professor Rami Wakim is an established consultant in Reproductive Medicine and the co-founder of Avenues IVF clinic in London, one of the lead clinics of AI in the field of IVF. He obtained his Membership to the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (MRCOG) in London, followed by a double fellowship programs in ART at University College London Hospital and Imperial College.
An active researcher, he published many articles and delivered scientific presentations, both in the UK and internationally.

Consultant Plastic & Aesthetic Surgeon
Mr Ragoowansi is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon with over 20 years’ experience across NHS and private practice in central London. At Barts Health NHS Trust, he specialises in upper limb conditions, including nerve issues, trauma, Dupuytren’s disease, and hand disorders. He also consults at 101 Harley Street, offering reconstructive care and a “see and treat” service for skin lesions. His aesthetic practice focuses on advanced breast surgery and post-weight loss body contouring. Known for personalised care, precision techniques, and natural-looking results, he uses cutting-edge technology and has been recognised in the Tatler Cosmetic Surgery Guide for excellence.

Consultant Anaesthetist
Dr Alex Bonner is a consultant anaesthetist who has worked exclusively in independent practice for several years, delivering high-quality perioperative care across a broad range of surgical specialties. Passionate about professional autonomy, clinical excellence and improving the patient experience, he believes independent practice offers outstanding opportunities to innovate while maintaining the highest standards of care.
Alex is an enthusiastic advocate for collaboration between independent doctors and values the support, expertise and sense of community provided by the Independent Doctors Federation. He is delighted to be speaking at this year's study day and contributing to the future of independent medical practice.

Clinical Director, Rafan House
Steve Collier is the Clinical Director of Rafan House Clinic
Steve ensures families and individauls accessing private psychotherapy receive highly contained, integrated, and discreet care. In addition, he leads an NHS CAMHS Crisis Team, in London. Steve has extensive experience privately and within the NHS. He specialises in complex trauma, attachment issues, and acute mental health crises.
Committed to demystifying psychoanalytic psychotherapy, he integrates a relational standpoint often with contemporary neuroscience. Steve utilises a collaborative approach, earning him a strong clinical reputation for engaging highly resistant patients. He is also undertaking a further clinical doctoral training, also including psychoananlytic research.

Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist
Dr Alexandra Garcia Rosales is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with over a decade of consultant-level NHS CAMHS experience.
She graduated from the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and trained in General Psychiatry at Hospital Universitario La Paz, Madrid. Following a Koplowitz Foundation Scholarship at the Maudsley Hospital, she trained in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in London. Her PhD on ADHD was awarded cum laude by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in collaboration with King’s College London.
Trilingual in Spanish, French and English, she has practised psychiatry in Spain, France and the United Kingdom.

Consultant Dermatologist
Dr Hiba Injibar is a dermatologist and founder of Dermasurge, whose professional journey has taken her from Lebanon to Saudi Arabia to London. A graduate of the American University of Beirut in 1996, she has been practising dermatology for over 25 years and has developed extensive expertise in general dermatology, aesthetic medicine, and advanced laser treatments.
Committed to innovation and lifelong learning, Dr Injibar has remained at the forefront of developments in dermatology, embracing new technologies and evidence-based treatments to deliver the highest standards of patient care. Alongside her clinical work, she has successfully built and led Dermasurge, combining medical excellence with entrepreneurship. She firmly believes that success is never achieved alone and credits much of her journey to the support of a dedicated team, shared values, and a collaborative approach to patient care.
At the IDRF event in Spain this October, Dr Injibar will present "From Lebanon to London: My Journey as a Dermatologist and Entrepreneur."

Co-Founder & COO, Hamilton George Care
Fred Lloyd George began his career in the Foot Guards, training at Sandhurst before serving in Afghanistan and acting as Equerry to members of the royal family. After leaving the army in 2015, he joined a home care tech start-up, leading strategic operations and growing the business from zero to over 600 customers. He went on to manage strategic delivery at NHS Digital's Digital Adult Social Care team during the COVID-19 pandemic.
These experiences, combined with supporting friends and family through care challenges of their own, led Fred to co-found Hamilton George in 2020 alongside ex-Army colleague Alex Hamilton. The agency delivers a highly personalised service for a select number of private clients across the UK. Fred has also co-launched My Lighthouse Care, a digital platform helping families find and hire carers independently.

Medical Assistance Doctor
Dr Yogini Patel is a medical assistance doctor, entrepreneur, and innovator with a diverse portfolio spanning anaesthetics, global transfer medicine, healthcare transformation, education, and business. Driven by equity, leadership, and innovation, she offers a values-led, unconventional perspective on modern medical careers. Her work includes high-impact clinical care, COVID-19 repatriation efforts, and health policy affecting millions. A long-standing entrepreneur, she has co-founded education, healthcare, and technology ventures, while leading a successful property business.
She now aims to develop an AI-driven, fair risk pricing tool for UK travel insurance, exploring new models of leadership and success.

Consultant Cardiologist
Dr Balvinder Wasan qualified from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School in 1994, and undertook his specialist cardiology training in London. He was appointed as an Interventional Cardiology Consultant to the Queen Elizabeth (QEH) & Guys & St Thomas’ (GSTT) Hospitals in 2005. He is currently the lead for community cardiology at GSTT.
He was responsible for setting up a local angioplasty service at QEH and served as Clinical Director for Cardiology. He has 21 years experience in all aspects of General Cardiology and has a specialist interest in cardiovascular disease, in particular the identification of patients with coronary disease & prevention of cardiovascular events in this group.
He sees private patients at Welbeck Heart Health, London Bridge Hospital, and the Blackheath and Sloane Hospitals
